General Information

British International School of the University of Łódź (#BISUL) educates children aged
3 to 19 years according to English National Curriculum and is a combination of  three separate schools: foundation, primary and secondary, combined into one.

Our school has been approved by Cambridge International Examinations, the world’s largest provider of international education programs and qualifications for students and by COBIS, a global network of British international schools.

BISUL follows the Cambridge programs, which have a proven reputation for being excellent preparation for university, employment and life. They provide a valuable international benchmark of learner performance. The school provides an opportunity to acquire qualifications such as Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS and A Level, which are recognised and welcomed by universities and employers around the world.

The English National Curriculum sets out two principal aims and four purposes, all of which reinforce each other:

Aim 1: The school curriculum should aim to provide opportunities for all pupils to learn and to achieve.

Aim 2: The school curriculum should aim to promote pupils’ moral, social and cultural development and prepare all pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life.

Purpose 1: To establish an entitlement
Purpose 2: To establish standards
Purpose 3: To promote continuity and coherence
Purpose 4: To promote public understanding
